New Yorker Festival, “Streaming the Future” with SoundCloud co-founder Alexander Ljung
I’ll be at the “SoundCloud Lounge” in One World Trade, talking to Alexander Ljung, the co-founder of SoundCloud, about streaming music and how artists can make money from their work. There will also be appearances by SoundCloud artists. Information and tickets here.

New Yorker Festival, “Uptown Special” with Mark Ronson
I’ll be talking to Mark Ronson, the producer and co-writer of the smash “Uptown Funk,” as well as a driving force behind the music of Amy Winehouse. After our chat, Mark and friends will perform some of their songs. Information and tickets here.

Greenlight Bookstore, reading and signing
I’ll be appearing at our neighborhood bookstore with Dion Graham, the actor who reads The Song Machine for the audio version. I’ll talk about the book a bit, and play some of the songs from it, and Dion and I will talk about the challenges of book narration. (Dion is literally the best in the business: check out his Dave Eggers audio books.) Various characters from the book may be making an appearance, including The Boy. Free and open to the public.
